There are two separate services you'll need for a working site - a domain name and a web hosting plan for it. If you type the domain address in your Internet browser, you see the content that is uploaded inside the hosting account, but if that domain is not linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. In other words, the Internet domain is registered and you're its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it could be directed to some other URL of your choice. The main benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and be sure that no one else is going to take it. In the meantime, it will not occupy a slot for a hosted domain in your account. You may also park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain names with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main web site in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Hosting

When you have a hosting plans with us, you'll be able to park each of your domains effortlessly. The feature is available for the domain addresses registered through our company, but not for the ones which are only hosted here and pointed from some other company, as a domain address can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will allow you to select from a number of templates and you'll be able to include your own text to any of them. Redirecting a domain to a different URL is as easy as only typing the Internet address and saving it. If you would like to host any of your parked domain names, it takes simply a click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, creating the necessary DNS records, etc. For easier management, you're going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered in the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated hosting plans do not have a set limit for the amount of domain addresses you can park. This option is offered for domain addresses that are registered with our company and not ones that are only hosted, since the service is always provided only by the registrar. Parking any one of your domains is really basic and takes a few mouse clicks with the feature-rich Domain Manager instrument, which you are able to access using your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You are going to have a number of parking templates to choose from and you can add custom text to each of them - Under Construction, Parked Domain, For Sale, etc. Un-parking a domain name is just as simple and what is more, our system will set up all the necessary records and it will set up a folder in the File Manager section automatically, so you'll not need to do anything manually.
