A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you have a hosting plan with us and you wish to activate the catch-all option for a given e-mailbox that you have in your hosting account, it’ll take literally just a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you remove the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any efforts even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t want this feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
