Established in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level extension is the sole TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special restrictions on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost.
